We have a series of training/social rides in the run up to the halow250 #9 starting early 2020. 250 miles over 3 days is going to be tough – particularly if the weather is a challenge (like it was in 2019).
The secret to making the weekend more enjoyable is to GET THE MILES IN – one was of doing that is to join us on as many of our social rides as possible. We have also included a very basic rtaining plan which will help you build time in the saddle. Little and often is the ticket – but when you do ride your bike do put as much effort in as you can..the harder it is in training the easier the real thing will be.
As with last year we will again be running the NineLives Tester (Saturday 7th March 2020). Essential for ALL riders who have not been on the trip before as it will give you an idea of how your training is progressing and enable us to suggest what you need to do to get to the required standard.
The rides will all be ‘no-drop’ groups and we will adjust the routes to suit the riders who turn up on the day. We plan to run sessions mainly from Richmond Park (Roehampton Gate Café) and the other from the National Trust car-park at the top of Box Hill, Surrey. All details will be notified beforehand with the actual start location and route maps. We will travel further afield – and if there are a number of people in a particular area – get in touch and suggest we meet near you.
These are great opportunities to meet some of the team and the other riders. Routes will be posted on the website and can be sent out to those who have expressed an interest in joining us. Make sure you join our Strava Halow250 club as all dates will be posted there.
